Flexible pick-up time (based on arrival schedule)
Your journey begins with a hotel or harbour pick-up from Banyuwangi area or Ketapang Harbour (Java side) by our professional driver.
Lunch (Optional)
Stop at a local restaurant for lunch (personal expense).
Check-in at hotel
Transfer to your hotel in Banyuwangi. Check-in and free time to rest and prepare for the midnight Ijen trekking.
Evening
Free program. Please sleep early as the Ijen tour starts after midnight. Overnight in Banyuwangi.
Pick-up
Midnight pick up from your hotel in Banyuwangi and drive approximately 1 hour to Paltuding Basecamp, the starting point of Mount Ijen trekking.
Hike to Ijen Crater
Begin hiking to the peak of Ijen Crater (about 1 hour depending on fitness level).
Descend into the crater
Descend into the crater for around 30–40 minutes to reach the famous Ijen Blue Fire viewpoint. Important notes: This is the most challenging and dangerous part of the trek. Please always follow your guide. Due to poisonous sulfur gas, guests are not allowed to stay long at the blue fire area.
Hike to sunrise viewpoint
Climb back up and walk to the sunrise viewpoint. Enjoy panoramic views of the turquoise Ijen sulfur lake, one of the largest acidic lakes in Indonesia. Perfect for photography.
Return to Paltuding
We will return to Paltuding for breakfast and a short rest. Important notes: Please bring your luggage because after the Ijen Tour we will go directly to Mount Bromo.
On the road to Mount Bromo
Drive approximately 5–6 hours to Mount Bromo area with scenic countryside views.
Hotel check-in
Hotel check-in near Mount Bromo. Free time and rest. Overnight in Mount Bromo area.
Pick-up
Early morning pick-up from hotel to Mount Bromo by 4WD Jeep, required due to steep and sandy terrain.
Journey to Kingkong Hill
Drive to Kingkong Hill Sunrise Viewpoint (about 40 minutes).
Watch the sunrise from Mount bromo
Enjoy Mount Bromo sunrise with stunning views of Mount Bromo, Mount Semeru, Mount Batok, and surrounding villages in one frame.
Jeep ride
Jeep ride across the Sea of Sand. Photo stop with jeep (highly recommended).
Trek to Mount Bromo crater
Trek approximately 45 minutes to the crater of Mount Bromo Volcano. The trail is easy but dusty, and there may be horse waste along the way — mask and sunglasses are recommended.
Witness the volcano up close
At the crater rim, witness the active volcano up close. Gas emissions can be strong, so staying long is not permitted.
Back to hotel
Return by jeep to the hotel for breakfast, shower, and packing.
Back to Surabaya
Transfer approximately 3–4 hours to Surabaya area (Airport, Hotel, Train Station).
